Jaffa

Jaffa is one of the most important ancient cities of historic Palestine. Until 1947 most of the residents of Jaffa were Arab, and it is in the Arab state under the Partition Plan of 1947. In the 1947-1949 war Jaffa was captured and annexed by Israel, and the municipality of Jaffa was united with Tel Aviv municipality to one joint municipality.
